Hello everyone. I took this shot a couple of months ago. I spotted this little guy next to a canal. He/she was not very pleased by my presence. Took a couple of shots and went my way.

Wonderful portrait of this wary-looking character, Robert. Nice to see such a clean view of the legs and feet, so many of my pictures of them are in grass. Great IQ, comp, and exposure.

    Robert:

I like the alert, leaning pose, down the barrel stare, greenery in background for some depth. Sharp and well exposed.

    Well captured.

    Cheers

Bright light well handled. Ditto the positives above. You might try leveling the pupils so that the bird does not if it is going to fall over. Assuming TX, where?

Well exposed for the lighting conditions. Nice framing. I like the rocks he is standing on and the hint of green in the BG.

Hi Robert, love the eye contact and with the slightly open beak. Good DOF, sharp, and nicely separated from the BG.
