This juvi loon was imaged in Northern Michigan in early July.

Post: LR4 CS6 selective sharpening, crop for comp.

I liked the blue swathes in the green water, so left a bit more water than my usual pano crop

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

    Cheers

Nice water and perfect head angle and eye contact, Randy.
The blue swathes look really nice but I'm not sure about the second spot of reflection. T
    hat one could go IMO.
I'm not sure if I ever have seen this plumage before; either earlier or later.
    Looks very interesting.

Hi Randy, love the 'stealth' pose of the juvi, low down in the water and streamlined. The blues in the water do add to the overall image, and feel you could still create more of a pano crop by taking a touch off the top.

    Hi Randy,
I really like the water pattern and colors as well.
I hadn't even noticed the second reflection until Karl mentioned it and I agree that it could go but not a big issue for me.
I feel like the image could use a bit more "pop" and wonder about adding a bit of black in selective coloring?
I like the comp as is. Excellent IQ as well,
    Gail

    Thanks everyone:

I do think the image lends itself to alternative crops, so will play around with some.

Gail - I am just starting to clip the blacks under the tail in the image as posted, so don't think I have much room for adjustment there. I will ponder the 'pop' issue.
