    Nice shot of the Humming Bird,Peter.Excluding the BG,I like the sharpness and colors on the Bird.Well exposed and nice details.As for the BG I would have wished that the leaf near the beak was absent.Also I would try and reduce the highligh on the brightest Stem above the birds Head.Nice Flash use.TFS

    Hi Peter - I too like the bird, esp. the iridescence on the tail. Nicely exposed. And I like the overall black bg. But agree w/ Sanjeevprakash that the shot would be better if the highlight on the stem was toned down. If you photograph from the same spot repeatedly have you tried a larger aperture? If so to what effect?

    Yes that's something to try, thanks. That young leaf was really lit up by the flash and I did tone it down fome but agree it's still bright.
