    Default Long-tailed Shrike.

Taken in March, 2012.Cropped and sharpened. Few OOF branches from BG are removed. I like the vertical branch on left side; so kept in composition.

    ISO: 250, 1/500 @ F: 5.6.Spot metering. Exposure bias: +0.3.
White balance: Auto. HH. Canon: 550D, 100-400.

Thanks for viewing and appreciation. C & C are much appreciated.
    Kind Regards.

Nice perch and pose Satish, but some how your usual high IQ is missing in this image. The head seems a bit soft? Would love to see others comments. I like your series overall! TFS.

Very nice portrait - setting, pose and background. I like the muted, earthy colours but agree the subject could be sharper and less noise in the background.

nice pose and BG, great light, main issues here is that the bird is quite soft and the clipped tree trunk is distracting.

Very nice exposure and colours, my initial reaction was similar to others - why is the image not as sharp as I expected, at 1/500 I would have expected it to be sharp. If you use DPP suggest you check out the focal point and presharpen in raw. If you use ACR I would also check out the initial image - look at 100%, if it does appear in focus then I would presharpen at this point. If the image is not in focus then no amount of sharpening will of course make it in focus

Thank you very much all of you for kind comments and suggestions.

    Jonathan,
I have checked the focal point in RAW;it is on shoulder and neck. Here is another version; without vertical branch, selectively sharpen the head and some NR applied to BG.
    Arash,
I have tried modified image as suggested by all of you.I hope you will like it.

I like this little bird! nice pastel colour on BG, bird and light. I agree that it looks soft and with the repost some artifacts can be seen on top of head.
