    Nice portrait of this turnstone, Joe. I really like that water background, your comp, and the details of the bird's plumage. It might have been nice to see the rest of the body, but it's still a very good portrait as is.

    Very nice shot, Joe. It is amazing how friendly they are at some places.
    I had four or five of them coming right to me feet at Fort Desoto, Florida.

    Well focussed on the eye, and I like the perch/BG combo here. The pose reminds me of someone with bad hearing making you repeat what you've said :-) I often find the pose odd when we can't see at least a bit of the tail when it comes to bird photography, and for that reason I wish this guy had turned its body a bit more.
