Arash- great stuff as usual! I'm always amazed at the amount of detail that you seem to extract from subjects.

Also, I sent you a message regarding your guide to noise reduction for EOS cameras. Never heard back :( I was wondering if it was only for EOS cameras (meaning it was mostly in camera stuff), or if it focused mostly on post-processing techniques. I'm looking forward to hearing back :)

Hi Arash, great eye contact from those yellow eyes, and just love the overall comp. As Miguel stated, excellent detail, and I do like the grasses seen blowing in the BG.

    Thanks Miguel,

I did not receive your message, surely would have replied otherwise. The guide focuses on advanced post processing methods for RAW files. It is however only for Canon DSLR cameras.

Great capture Arash. I like the perch & the grass. The detail in the owl is wonderful with a beautiful BG that compliments the image. It appears that the feet & tail feathers are wet. Was the shot taken after a rain storm or is the wetness caused by dew?

I remember seeing quite few pictures of these guys from early this year.
You were very lucky to have found them on the West Coast this year.
I wish I had been there.
Excellent shot in nice soft light, Arash.

Fantastic portrait of this snowy, Arash. What can be said about perfection? There's nothing to add but my own admiration.

Not sure if I would have used such a high ISO/shutter speed combo for this, but the result sure turned out great, so you obviously knew what you were doing. A prefect portrait all around. Especially love the grasses at the bottom.

    Well done as usual!

Love those eyes. Very special owl species for me and very nice that you included the grass in the image since it gives the habitat feel to it.

Thanks Aidan, shutter speed was actually the minimum needed to get a tack sharp frame under those conditions (handhold in wind). Some people tried 1/400sec with their tripods plus Wimberly but their files came out soft/shaky. Fortunately 1D4 can handle high ISO nicely.
