I like this shot because it shows the difference between fresh plumage and worn plumage.
This juvenile was crouching because a hawk flew overhead and scurried to the safety of an older bird. I like the little bug on the right as well

Love the moment, catch light & also the overall light, the low angle. Also like your choice of crop.

This gets a 100 on the "cute" scale and a 100 on the IQ, comp and crop.
One of your best for me.

Hi Gail, your pano crop works so well with the crouching pose of the juvi. Good detail and colours on both birds, and I do like the distant complimentary BG. I dont think you could have got any lower.

I saw this on my i-pad and wanted to come back to it on my monitor. Quite a special image, Gail. Behavior, bug, plumage, habitat, all add up to make this complete and interesting. My eye keeps moving through the frame to catch all the details. Only thing I would do is to add a little canvas to the bottom so that when you print it, you don't loose any there.

Love the low profile of these birds. I also like the light and habitat. Good idea on making this a pano!

Wow!! Wonderful shot. What's not to like. Love the poses of both birds, excellent comp, and very nice light. Everything just comes together for a teriffic shot.
    Well done.

Love this. The young one really looks frightened and in the cover of its' adult protector! I like the warm tones throughout, and of course the low angle. I'd only try to tone down the OOF "semi-circle" touching the juvie's neck...

Great to have a juvi and a worn adult in one frame, Gail. Love the composition, low angle, and the excellent feather details.
