    The original photo had some good texture to it, but not much else. I increased the saturation a bit and then added a "frosted glass" action in Photoshop and was surprisingly pleased with the overall effect.

    Comments?

    Canon 40D with Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
    ISO 125
    5.0 @ 1/200
    Natural light / hand-held

    I like it a lot Julie !!!! Very pleasing effect and like the diagonal placement very much !!! I think Mike (Moats) is going to be proud of you on this one !!! :):)

    the small thumbnail doesnt do this one justice!! that is really neat, julie. i like it alot, too.

    Does anyone think the gravel background is too hot or contrasty? I'm really happy with the leaf but not sure about that background...

    Cool image, Julie! I like the background as is - wonderful texture and nice contrast with the leaf.
