    Im quite excited to be going back to Botswana in a months time, and here is one taken last year from the same area. This was early morning, and the colour of the sky was as shot, and although it looks overcast, it was nice and open. Ive cleaned up a few distracting branches from the perch.

    Stewart, this is a gorgeous subject in a very flattering neutral BG. I like it.

    Absolutley beautiful Stuart, your exposure on the Roller couldn't be better, the overcast sky makes a perfect backdrop canvas.

    A fine conpositon Stuart, reminds me of the early painted plates one would see in top publications!
    Super colors, eye is remarkable, BG fantastic.
    One of my favorites for this year!

    Aaaah...the LBR and the reason I decided to start avian photography!!
    I really like the grey BG and simple perch. Lovely HA as well and I like your composition with the open space on the left.
    A beautiful shot of the most beautiful bird (IMHO) in the world!

    Very killer looking bird Stuart! I do like the pose and perfect HA. Nice BG too. I hope you can make some more great shots in Botswana.
