    This flight was photographed in Idaho using a Nikon D300 with 200-400 lens at 400, f 7.1, 1/1600.

    Hi Sarah The snow capped mountains do make for an interesting back drop Would love to have a clean lower edge with just the foreground

    For these type images you can crank up the iso and close down for maximum dof Being all mostly white there will be little noise in the image !!!!

    I like this one a lot. The huge group of the white geese seems to merge with the complimentary, drak gry and white BG adding a lot of confusion to the image and that is what I like in this photograph: it seems like a snow texture and you have to watch carefully to realise that there are a lot of geese on the image. Ooops, I am not english fluent but I am sure that you know what I am talking about;)
