    This greenbacked heron allowed me to take several pictures of him, although I stayed in my car and didn't risk getting any closer. This was the final image taken as he prepared to leave.

    Cropped to about 40% of original

    Nice job! The crop seems a bit odd to me but not sure why?

    Love the blue bg !!!! Pretty pose and exposure Usually small birds in frame look better in one of the corners See what you think !!!

    i like al's repost. looks like the eye could use a round of sharpening. other than that really cool pose and a good looking bird!!

    You did a great job of catching all the details! I do like the second crop better but wow...wonderful image!

    Also like Alfred's crop, really super bird! Agree with Harold on a bit of extra sharpening on the eye. Lovely colors very pleasing to view!

    Excellent colors and the composition is a lot better after the re-posting from Al.
