Shot this in early morning light at Lake Eola in Orlando, FL. I was very excited with the lighting, and surprised the Anhinga let me get this close.
Minor post-processing, mostly adding more contrast and straightening. I did have to remove a few distracting elements from the background, but nothing major. Noise reduction and sharpening applied in Lightroom.

Stephen - nice shot! Love the details that you were able to capture in the wings. It's not every day that you get a chance to see something like that. Who said you can't shoot backlit birds?! Well executed!
Really like this one! Well done and a original looking photograph. Maybe clean up some objects on the LRHC edge but this is nit-picking. As you have figured out we do not shoot the subject we shoot the light,..just love it as presented!
