It's that time of year again to start photographing hawks and I am excited. Here's one from last year.

Full step by step details on how I use a decoy to get this shot will be announced in my next newsletter.

Pose, exposure and sharpness all perfect. Good comp too, though I wouldn't a bit mind more space on the top and bottom.

    Well done.

    WOW Alan,
Love the tack sharp IQ, the dorsal view and the head angle.
Crop is different but really allows the viewer to focus on the wing detail. The fanned tail is a real plus,
    Gail

Fantastic image! Love the sharp eye, spread tail and extended wings. The top view of this raptor is excellent! I would love to call it my own.

Another WOW from the peanut gallery. This pose is just over the top, and then there's the exp, the sharpness. The Cooper's eye is quite powerful, as is that tail.

Love how you cropped this. As good as it gets imo.
Really looking forward to learning about your approach for creating this image,
and thanks for all the insight and advice you've provided on forums over the years
