I got Arthur Morris's book last night: Shorebirds, Beautiful Beachcombers. Good reading, tons of useful info and as you would except, great pictures.
(Thanks for the autographed copy, Artie.)
I went back to Burlington Bay area this morning, and found a nice flock of little guys and an sizable flock of Lesser Yellowlegs.
It was still almost dark but they flew away as soon as we showed up. We settled down low and the little ones came back after a while.
This little one I believe is a juvenile Semipalmated Sandpiper.
    Thanks for looking.

Very nice Karl, the water color is great, as is the texture of the water by the feet. The white foreground element is a bit distracting. He looks a bit over-sharpened/crisp on my monitor.

Sorry for the silly typo; It meant to be; expect. I hope it is right now.
One of those words; except expect. English is not my native tongue.
On top, I'm dyslexic as well.

Yummy, the bird is sharp and clear. The water color makes it special.

I like the pose, sharpness, water colour and texture. I feel it needs some CCW rotation. Beautiful image Karl!

I love the water and nice plumage. Sharpening looks good to me. I might tone down the brighter whites a bit though.

    Looking forward to more!

Love the water color and the swirly water around the feet.
I agree it needs a bit of CCW rotation.
I find the bottom whites a bit distracting.
    ID is correct!

The water color is fantastic Karl. The semipalm looks sweet as well. I love the catchlight on this one,
and the water drop on the bill is a nice detail. I agree that the image needs a slight ccw rotation.
Would love to have seen an even lower shooting angle too.
