    The RSPB (Royal Society for Protection of Birds) is creating habitat for this declining species to breed. This is about 80% of full frame taken through glass window in hide.

    Wonderful bird and BKGR, good EXP. Super on the raised crest. But the bird looking away is a huge negative.. Among other things, witht the light from the right, the face is in shadow...

    Can only add to select the face an lighten a bit It is wonderful image and love the low angle !!!!

    Very well composed and your subject is beautiful, and you've created a great background. I have to agree about the head and light angle stealing impact from this image.

    Head angle already mentioned, but a very pretty bird. You managed to get the colours very nicely on the wing.

    Great image. Perhaps a tad tight, and the head angle. But at least we can see the eye contact to a degree. There are also two OOF spots in the bottom right hand corner, perhaps some flowers in the distance? Just a little distracting for me. Nice bird though.

    lovely details & a good BG to go with. liked the side-lighting a lot too.
    just wish the head was turned a little more towards u (as others have mentioned above).
