Hi Ben - nice to see the rhino calf and its mom. Sweet light and walking pose with good low pov. The rhinos look a little smooth and I am wondering if NR was applied or if you can bring out a bit more detail in them. The oxpecker is a nice bonus.

I have a problem with the sharpening, this is the 3rd post, still significantly less sharp than on the saved photo. Suggestions?

Ben - you can try the sharpening for web/resizing actions posted by Morkel in the sticky at the top of the Wildlife Forum.

Hi Ben I like the simple composition of this image and the warm tones, although I'm still unsure if it needs a slight rotation or are they just walking up a slight incline? I would look to adjusting the Levels on the LHS slider, plus adding another Tonal mask as adjustment layer, combined I think they just give a bit more depth to the image. Depening on your preference, you could also add some Curves too. You could also tone done the small highlights as Morkel suggested too. In posting an image nothing changes to it, however I think it simply needs more selective sharpening. At f/4.5 you are not going to get both Rhinos sharp, so I guess it was as this, or upping the ISO to get more SS to combat the drop when you increased the DOF. A tough call perhaps.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I totally agree that the sharpness is not optimal and about the high lights. My problem is that the image is significantly sharper and that I loose lots of sharpness when I post the image. I would like suggestions on how to prevent this. I am using the suggested protocols, but I am still loosing sharpness when I post. All help would be appreciated.

Hi Ben, when you resize from the hi res original are you applying any sharpening to it? When you resize it, is it larger than 1024px when you post?

You can fwd the web size image as sharpened to either Morkel or myself we can take a look at it too if it helps?
