    Default Portrait: Crested Bunting, Female.

August, 2012. This female bunting suddenly landed in front of me; where I was having a cup of tea at tea-stall.
She picked up food and was in duel mind whether to eat there only or to take off. Cropped, sharpened and few black spots above the head and leaf at RLC are removed.
Blue BG is reflection of clouds in the water on the soil collected after rain.

    ISO: 640, 1/400 @ F: 5.6.Evaluating metering. Exposure bias: +1.3.
White balance: Auto. HH. Canon: 550D, 100-400.

Thanks for viewing and appreciation. C & C are much appreciated.
    Kind Regards.

Nice exposure, details, angle and a plus for food. Feel this would work better with a large crop from top and left.

Nice exposure on the black side. Good feather detail also. Does the male look like this or is it totally different ?

Nice shot Satish, agree with Marina on the crop, good detail and exposure compensation worked well.

Wow, very big difference between the male and female. Nice capture, but I would agree about the crop as well.

Yes, the male is a stunner. And yes, the composition as presented is quite awkward with the bird stuck in the lrc of the frame... Ditto Marina, David, and the rest on the good stuff.

Hi Satish, good feather detail, and I like how the bunting comes out into the frame, and you repost has worked out even better.

Better but still an awkward design for me. Getting as low as possible and zooming out to get the whole bird in the frame might have been better options.
