Default Anna's Hummer, multi strobe setup, with suggested adjustment

Well, I read all the great advise from the last posting and things are getting better! Here, I moved my strobes in closer and positioned the upper two at roughly 45% to the action area, set 3 of the 4 at 1/64 power (the lower 1 covered with a diffuser to cut it's output further). I used the fourth strobe (better beamer attached, ttl minus 1.5 stops) on the camera as a master with the others slaves. I also moved the bg away a little, effectively eliminating the shadows from before. This was a little under exposed but I was able to recover that in NX2 and CS5. Sharpened the bird with USM, NR on BG with Topaz Denoise. I cloned out all but 1 eye shine and part of the feeder also. C&C welcome.

That's awesome man...you got a virtual workshop out of BPN, put it to great use, and came out with an outstanding hummingbird image Love the tiny feet, details (especially the tail feathers). Maybe a tad more sharpening for the eye and top part of the head.

It appears as though your hard work paid off, Dan. Lovely capture with nice details and colors. Agree with Dan on a little more sharpening of the head.

You're gonna put me out of business if you keep this stuff up Dan! Very well done, and getting better all the time. I agree with a bit of additional sharpening, and I could see going with a warmer white balance. If you're underexposing, consider moving up to 1/32 flash power; you wouldn't want to open up your aperture or bump the ISO if you don't have to.

Killer sharp with great feather detail. Love the BKGR. I am pretty sure that whatever you do all the flashes should be at the same power setting else you are inviting problems....
