Nice background and great subject. Looks like you had to deal with some harsh light. A better head angle with eye contact would have made this image even better.
Hi Arsdel, I moved this to Hand of Man because of the perch. With the light from the hard right you needed to move well to your right for a good light angle and to better parallel the bird. The whites on the cheek are over-exposed. I do like the bKGR; what was it?

Artie and Sid have given a good critique. The detail would have been even better with the head in the same plane as the rest of the bird. I think it would work a bit better if the bird was just a little smaller in the frame. It wouldn't be hard to add canvas if it wasn't there......and that BG is really nice.
