Hi Nico, love the incoming fight pose of the weaver returning to his nest, and the the building material adds interest. If this were mine, I would try and open up the shadows of the entrance to the nest.
I had fun capturing these guys way back in January, and it wasnt easy.
I love the action/story here. Nice wing spread, vegetation a plus, very colorful. To my eye, the nest looks a little sharper than the bird, except for the feet. Had you prefocused on the nest?
The catchlight in the eye does tend to make the pupil look less sharp than it probably really is, and sometimes doing a bit of burning in can reduce it in size a bit and improve the apparent sharpness.
good to see an image from you again
love these shots, so hard to nail, good that you have the wingspread and the red eye with the building material in the beak
something on the eye just looks funny? is it sharp at 100%?
