Hi Cheryl, WOW!
Personally I think you ladies are really bringing the tender side of Wildlife through in your images which is really nice and diverse too, thanks. Overall I like the composition, even with the tree trunk, the FG vegetation is enough to give the appearance you were hidden from view in the bush, quietly observing. To see them nurse like this is marvellous and was a testimony to your fieldcraft, most are very skittish in my experience and fly/bolt at the sound of any noise.
Looking at the image to me there does seem to be a cast in the whites
(I think it's Cyan and or Blue), if this is balanced it does help. The greens look very punchy & vibrant, surprised as you were saying that the conditions were more in shadow, darker, any thoughts on that? Personally I would bump up the depth within the subjects, add a % of Linear Curves on them, compress the Levels histogram,
(it can come in a little either side of the Histogram) and apply some more selective sharpening. Finally keeping the same ration of crop, again, just come in a fraction from the LHS, which in turn with crop some off the top too.
Would love to have a shot like this.
