Yes, I clipped the top wing in the original capture. I liked the frame enough to try and come up with a composition and this is the preliminary result. I'm thinking a bit more off the top to get the wing out of the corner. Thanks for any suggestions that you may have, positive or not.

Great catch, excellent floght shot, Grace. Nice eye contact with both, bird and fish.
I think it would look better if you yook a bit off the top as you indicated.

    Grace,

Really a very good flight shot with fish. I would cut some off of the back (as much as possible) and the top but I think you need to add a little canvas on the bottom to balance this shot. You should be able to get the back of the wing to the corner. Definitely a keeper.

Nice sharp capture with a pleasing BG and the fish is a big plus. I don't think this crop looks intentional enough. I would go for more off of the top and right.

Excellent flight shot.Love the details in whites and fish in the beak. Agree with you about crop of wing.

Maybe just a bit more as Marina suggests. But you did a good job of saving it after getting too greedy :). I'd have done the same thing. Wonderful detail in the BLACKs and WHITEs.

Agree with aggressive crop. Excellent exposure and detail in blacks and whites. Eye contact with fish and skimmer is a bonus.

Sweet shot. Like both head angles and the incoming in your face type feel here. Great detail.

Certainly a keeper with that great fish and flight angle. Ditto the crop suggestions above.

A very cool species, as mentioned above, very nice details on both black and whites. I wish for a more close portrait or to see the whole bird, a magestic lovely bird in any case and would be happy if this pic. was mine!

Ah, don't you love it when the fish is pointing the right way!! Cropping in a clipped wing is often a nice alternative. This image was worth it, and I agree a little more off the top and right will improve it even more. Love the strip of green at bottom.
