    Default Blue and Yellow Variation

Another image from my recent trip to St. Augustine. Taken in the early morning. I'm going to experiment with other toned versions - I like LR Creamtone preset also but this one was toned in LR with a Split Tone preset. I then added a filter that is new to me - Topaz Adjust HDR Sketch, Light which emphasized the different colors. Then I used a slight Nik Color Efex Foliage to increase the yellows to get a better blue/yellow contrasting color for the theme. I also added canvas on the right side to put the boats in a better ROT position. Something a little different but I seem to be in a "different" mode these days.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated

Love the look. It might be improved with a 50-50 crop with the horizon dead center. No rookery???

Cheryl, I love the colors, the aspect ratio, and the composition. The darker water in the foreground really helps to ground the image. It all feels very soothing. The only thing I wished were different was the location of the junction of the trees and the bridge. It's nearly centered left to right, and it comes close to lining up with the sailboat mast. To do as little as possible to the rest of the image, I selected part of the trees with the lasso tool, copied and pasted the selection, flipped it horizontally, dragged it to the left, and stretched it out a bit both vertically and horizontally to hide part of the bridge.

I would crop some of the foreground off, I don't think it is needed. Not sure about the haloing around the boats, probably artifacts from one of the filters and not certain how it could be reduced. Very peaceful scene.

Thanks, Artie. My photographer's pass expired and I was waiting until winter to renew it

Awesome colors, Cheryl. Wonderful serene look with calm waters and clean sky. I really like how the cooler blue fog hanging on to the vegetation and the boats. Beautiful processing.

Beautiful colors and a lovely scene, Cheryl. I love the split tone look. I might try to carefully clone out the halos around the boats, if this were mine. I am wondering how this might look with some judicious use of textures...

Cheryl, I like the look of this one and agree about cloning the halos. The colors are sweet!

A serene image. Lovely, subdued colors. I like the simplicity of the two colors in their various tones. I like both your and Dennis' version--don't know which I prefer. I agree with Arthur about cropping from the bottom. Interestingly, I would also crop from the right--to just the right of the dark shrub on the shoreline. That would move the tall mast off center, and I don't think the space to the right adds to the image. Other's have suggested dealing with the halos. You achieved a peaceful feel in your composition and processing.
