I had an other image also taken yesterday. Slightly different spot, slightly different wing position.
The biggest difference has been that I tried to remome all the colour casts and not to go overboard with the warming up.
Thank you for your input on my previous post of a similar picture, Artie Gail and the rest, guiding me to the right direction.
    Thanks for looking.

Colors look nice and neutral. Image still looks flat. Do you want to give it more pop or leave it looking as if it were a foggy morning (which I understand it was)?

Very cool species, just recently added to my list! Love the raised wing, perfect HA and clean BG. I agree with Arthur that a small boost on contrast could improve this great image.

Thanks Artie. I might want to leave it as it is.
Yes it was a foggy morning indeed. The Great Lakes create their own microclimate sometimes.
I'm happy that the colours are good now.

I like the softness too yet could also see it with a little more pop.

    Hey Karl,
I think toning this down and popping contrast may help.....but the comp is fantatic as is the wing position. Many directions you could go but all in all....a very nice image!

A lovely image, Karl. Great wing position and bg. I'd also see it with a little more contrast. But Artie was right in posing that as a question: that is, is this the way it was seen in the photographer's eye? Quite nice in either case.

Fantastic pose, and the comp is spot-on. Colours look good too. A bit flat as stated, but I understand you wanting to leave it as is as per your response to Artie. IQ looks a bit degraded IMO...is this a big crop? I also see some colour noise on the wing tips that could be tamed in post.
