    took the other day on my local river,have not posted for a while,been busy this bad summer here in the uk,not much time for macro,cannon 100mm macro is f2.8,hand held,cropped,f10,1/125sec,iso400.comments good or bad.thanks.

    Everything looks good except it seems too tight. I feel like if you had been a bit further away more of the b'fly would be visible as well as pick up some dof . Colors, exposre and focus all look good and other than more room composition looks fine too.

    Thanks Dave for your comments,I had more room,but I cropped it this way to show the antena and head off more,thanks again.

    I quite like the tight close up, the relatively shallow DOF concentrates attention on the eye, I have never seen one of these butterflies before. I see there is a lovely green sheen in some of the hairs especially near the eye, this is what draws my attention. Background is excellent, exposure and colours super - well done.
