    Hi Frank,
nice to see you posting in wildlife, not just only in the feathered forum.
Hope you are lucky with the new glass, hope one day get myself on e, too.

Like this side portrait of the marmot , with nice detail and sharpness , where it counts.Colors work well with a nice almost even BG.
Would go for a tighter crop if IQ allows.THe OOF rock in the FG adds a nice depths into the image.

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Frank, great to see you over on this side of the fence too.

Nice clean image, with good detail where it counts and just enough light & detail in that eye. The lichen cover rock is a great asset to the image, as the colours, texture and form are are a nice touch against the killer BKG colour, that helps separate the subject. Perhaps a slightly tighter crop would help, but not much IMHO.

Very nice portrait with nice details. Love the colors of the lichen with your marmot and BG. The FG OOF rock is quite prominent but I don't feel as though a tighter crop is the answer. As Andreas mentioned, it gives the capture a nice sense of depth. I would leave it as is.

Hi Frank - I can only echo the above - nice to see you posting over here - great image with pleasing colors and bg and very good detail. You should post over here more often. Btw I too think the oof rock adds to image and the comp works as is.

    Rachel

Nice rocky "perch" for this guy and I like the way his body hugs the shape of the rock. Works as posted, could also see tighter pano crop taking some off top and bottom.

Nice clean image with great details, Frank. Can't ask for much more in a portrait.
Good to see an image with the new 600mm posted on here (in Wildlife, I mean).
