    Default Eastern Meadowlark

Would like to have more breast showing, but these birds are so skittish I was happy with this one and a few more I captured today.

    HI Mike,

Welcome to BPN. The image looks too bright in my monitor. I also find the human made perch too dominate for your main subject. If I'm not mistaking, this image should be in the Avian Captive and Hand Made forum. With that said, the bird away pose from you is not ideal.

You did a great job capturing the bird just in time.

    Welcome and keep them coming!

You are not mistaken, hence the move to its new home ;-) Also agree with with Maxis' critique. I like the singing, and the Bg is nice and clean. Welcome aboard and looking forward to more!!

For some reason, the thumbnail isn't showing.....I'll have to figure that one out later. Nice job getting him singing. Looks like the light was pretty harsh and he's a tad "toasty". You might want to rework this one with cropping out some of the perch and lowering the "exposure".....I think it would turn out very pleasing.
