    Default Fanciful Wood Storks

I spent way too much time playing with this one! I started out with Topaz Adjust to bring out the colors a bit, then used Oil Paint filter, once on the whole thing and then again on the water. Then I used Nik Color Efex tonal contrast, added a texture that was blue with white "snow", did some masking, added a vignette and then an edge from Photo Frame.

The pond they were in is very shallow and nearly dry. The blue/magenta area is actually just mud and you can see those lumps that were vegetation in the water or just mud hills? There were 2 peeps in that mud area but I evicted them.

I forgot to add that I used content-aware move to move the right stork closer to the left one. I forgot to select the reflection of it's leg and foot so I had to create one when I was almost done with the image.

Hi Judy, the processing is great. I like how the mud came out with the blue/magenta colors. I only wonder about removing the blue from the bird's feathers. Very creative!

Fun and Funky Judy, this has a very beachy look and the colors are lovely. I would need to see it w/o the blue on the feathers to decide.

Judy, I really like the bands of colors and the almost "plastic wrap" look that you got. Nice and funky

yes, a lot of work, but worth it. Re the blue, perhaps just remove some of it. I think some blue would tie them to water as in a reflective way, but perhaps what you have is a bit dark for others.

Thanks everyone! There was blue in the original shadows on the birds and later I tried both the sponge tool and layer masks and all I got was a blue that didn't match the rest of the scene. I don't think I tried it after flatening so I will try it again.

Nice work on this, Judy. The colors are a bit unexpected (in a good sense), anyway, so I'd not try very hard to alter the blue on the storks at all.

I've not tried the content aware move, yet. It looks like it worked well.

I used the sponge tool to desaturate the birds but it's still pretty blue.

    Judy,

Greetings. I kinda like the blue. If it were mine, I'd go the other way and pop the orange heads a bit then add Weekly Theme to the title for the great contrasting colors ;-)... purple-green, orange-blue, blue-green...

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Thanks Michael! That's a good suggestion, I'll try it.
