    Default Osprey

    Hi All,

    Here's one from yesterday evening. In the midlands we only get these on migration, luckily enough for me this ones hung around for while. I managed a few
    shot's just as the sun was going down.

    Canon 7D + Canon 500mm F4 IS + 1.4 - 1/1250s ISO 400 F5.6

    Hope you like it.

    Best Regards
    Carl.

    Carl;

    Nice ventral surface wing display,with good detail showing.

    I think the bird could go just a touch brighter. Good comp.

    Wish the bill didn't merge with the wing edge.

    Glad you got a shot at him. Because they can be fairly common in the States, we sometimes overlook what a magnificent bird they are.

    Cheers

    Randy

    PS: Here is a quick version with slight tweak. Slight increase in brightness, opened the shadows to give better separation of bill from wing and to show a bit more detail in the darker areas.
