I took all suggestions from the following thread and re-edited the shot. I used selective color to add cyan and remove yellow from the yellows. The head was sharpened a bit more as well. Disclaimer: I brought in a head from a different shot where the head angle was a bit more favorable. That shot however, had the tail of the bird under some grass.

Comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated - as usual :) Thanks for looking!

Below are the two shots that I combined to get the single image you see above.

    Miguel,
It is great creation.Very nice composition, colors and details.Love the pose ,HA, and BG. However I think creation comes under Forum;Out of the Box.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Thanks for the input Satish, I was afraid that the head replacement (something I don't really ever do) would make this irrelevant to this forum.

It belongs here in Avian as the final result itself is not meant to be an OOTB image. Great use of the digital technology to get yourself a great result...I would not have known without disclosure! Yes, the BG looks much better here, but I like the hue in the two smaller images even better. Great stuff Miguel!

    Daniel Sir and Miguel,
I am sorry for the comments about forum posting.I was under the impression that image creation by mixing or combination of two images comes under OOTB.
Inconvenience caused to you is deeply regretted.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Satish - no worries! Daniel - thanks for the feedback. I'll give it a final iteration before placing it in my portfolio :)
