This picture was taken at a place which is no longer good for shorbirds.
It dried out and got overgrown by vegetation.
They all moved to a nearby place which is fenced in.
The bird is in late Summer, early Fall colour.
    Thanks for looking.

Nice light on the bird, Karl, and good reflection. I might have been tempted to remove the one dark line in the water that intersects the bird's breast.

Hi Karl, the pose works well, and I do like the overall light and colours. The dead calm water has created a really clear reflection, and Im glad you left the 'bits' in the water.

Very nice capture, Karl. The reflection adds to the image, but I would consider a bit of sharpening on the bird itself.

I agree about removing the line that intersects the bird, but a very nice reflection and attractive colors.

Beautiful reflection, but the intersecting line is a bit of a distraction. I think I agree that another round of sharpening might be good.

Thank you all, thanks for the suggestions. I sharpened the bird a little more and removed the entersecting line.

Too bad this place dried out, I seem to remember that you created a number of really sweet reflection images there....
This is obviously one of them. Beautiful, great light, and the repost looks even better.

Awesome shot Karl. Beautiful light with a nice reflection. I feel your pain...our local shorebird hotspot dried up also (Conneaut)!
