Default Father Francisco Lopez de Mendoza

I went to St. Augustine last week and found a Catholic church with many statues on the grounds. This one is of Father Francisco Lopez de Mendoza, the founding pastor of the parish of St. Augustine, who said the first mass on September 8, 1565 at the church. In Lightroom I used Split Toning and then a Levels adjustment to lighten it a bit.

Nice work getting the 2 color toning. At first I thought, maybe that sign on the left is intrusive, but then I decided it helped balance out the trees on the right. You sidestepped just enough to keep the cross out of his head.

This is a dramatic capture of the statue. I like the composition, with the cross balancing the statue, the sign balancing the tree on the right. Split toning worked well--looks quite natural.

Cheryl, I like your choice of composition. The split toning looks good. I love where the tip of the cross lands in the comp.
