This liitle Kingfisher was a ferocious hunter spending no more than a minute at a time perched looking for prey.

What a stunning bird. The whites and blues on it are shimmering. I like the one raised foot and the cobweb. I would burn the perch a little bit. It's so bright that it does tend to draw attention away from your bird. You have a lovely BG here. I wonder what your original image looked like b/c I am wondering what your cropping options were. It's not that I do not like this one, but I have a feeling there may be a better crop available. Well done.
Beautiful Perch, Light, bkgr & inquisitive pose of the bird. The perch is a tad bright for my taste, I would have tried to tone it down in the post.
I like the way it is looking down into the water scanning for prey. Neat perch, albeit a bit light as pointed out, and you have a wonderful BG. I could see this as a true vertical, but like Marinaq mentions there are probably a few options for it.
I love Kingfishers and this is a very nice one. Nice pose and perch and excellent details in the white and dark as well.
Gorgeous bird.
I like the spider web and the vertical comp.
Great BG and agree with all of Marina's suggestions!

Wonderful capture! I would have liked to see this with a larger aspect ratio, possibly with more room at the bottom and the bird closet to the top - taking a bit off the left.
What lovely species! I like the perch, BG & pose. Agree with above comments about the composition.
Here's the original resized so heaps of room for any crop that takes your fancy.

OMG !!! I could have never guessed this is such a HUGE crop! The 1DX looks like an amazing device!!
Wow, what a crop! I'm amazed at the detail!
Excellent pose and details, Richard.
