    Here's another one from Jamaica Bay.

    The Peregrine had chased all the shorebirds luckily this Black Skimmer showed up.

    Shutter speed: 1/320 sec
    Aperture: 6.3
    Exposure mode: Manual
    ISO: 800
    Lens: EF500mm f/4L IS USM +1.4x
    Focal length: 700mm

    Your choice of shutter speed has worked wonders...I love the sharp head and blurred wings. Beautiful color layers and flying droplets. A most appealing picture indeed!

    Lovely and different look at a skimmer. Light hitting him beautifully and the spray is terrific. Excellent low angle in the muck.

    This image is quite lovely, James. The colors are spectacular and the water spray puts it over the top. You picked a nice comp.

    I could actually see this as a pano crop with about half the reflection trimmed out, but I like it as is too. Excellent flowing water drops, low angle, and sweet light.
