    Robert,
Marvelous portrait.Very nicely exposed beautiful brown and whites with superb sharp details.I like the shadows in the eyes with catch light and
Smooth background.Love the head turn and his/hers eyes.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Sweet pose, sharp with good detail. Looks a bit on the bright side to me and I would crop a bit tighter to leave out the part of the leg.

Very nice portrait shot, Robert. The sharpness and details are excellent, so is the background.

Robert, Nice and sharp. I agree it looks light. Maybe a curve adj or contrast?

Beautiful details, and I like the vertical comp. Love the BG, although the paler streak in URC could be toned down. The image as a whole could be darkened a bit too, I agree. Pretty intense stare!!

Hi Robert, who is staring at who in this image. Excellent detail, especially on the bill, and If I had to darken anything, I would probably tone down the eyes just a touch.

Thank you all very much for all the comments and advice. Here is repost. I adjusted the levels and cropped a little tighter as per Ofer.

Very nice Robert, I do like the second one a bit better. Looks a bit 'red' on my monitor, but it could be just my monitor since I'm not on the one that I edit on.

I actually like the crop in the OP more. personal taste. Good improvement on the brightness front in the repost. In the OP, the iris does seem a bit too bright.

Well done positioning yourself for the BG and then nailing the head turn. Nice strong tight composition.

Great owl portrait. The levels adjustment helped in the repost, and I think I prefer the second crop but a fine shot in either case.
