    I have had almost 16 inches of rain in my yard since tuesday afternoon from Isaac. This is a limb blown down in the yard, I threw seed out and the soaked birds came.
    D700, 300mm, 1.4 tc, tripod. 1/160, f7.1, iso1000. Adjusted WB, sat in ACR. Cropped, S/H, USM in CS3.

    Excellent image of wet bird with nice composition.Very simple and sweet.

    This poor cardinal looks pretty rough and what a perfect capture for the theme this month. Good thinking on the set up with the downed branch from the storm. It's nice for a change to not see the perfect-looking bird with a bird with character and strength that has endured through a hurricane.

    That is about the saddest bird I have ever seen.

    Thanks Dan, we made it through the storm OK. The rain total from tuesday-friday was 20 inches.
