    1D Mark IV, Canon 800 f5.6, x1.4, 1/1600, f11, iso 800, tripod, full Wimberley

    One from this morning - the 5 or so males in the field I was photographing them in, kept calling to each other. The group is now separated into pairs and I hope they will start nesting soon. Will go there as much as I can in the next few weeks as they are rare visitors near Sydney.

    Very slight crop.

    Absolutely fantastic capture Ofer. Marvelous calling pose, wing position, raised foot, details,exposure in B&W, low angle and BG. Looking forward to see more images of Banded Lapwing in different moods.

    Love the excellent IQ and details in the blacks and whites.
    If I was to nitpick I would wish that the raised foot had cleared the grass so we could see it in its entirety,

    Absolutely superb calling pose.Love the great great details in whites with beautiful lights and expression of Lapwing.

    Interesting bird Ofer. I love the big open eye and opening wings as well as the raised foot. Great low angle and bg too.
