    I saw this father and son recently at a community event and knew I wanted to create an image that conveys not just the bond between them, but the wonder that lies ahead for them.

    Radial blur, a couple of textures and Nik Color Efex

    Maureen, I think you conveyed your feelings very well. It's a great treatment and the texture really adds to the mood. I especially like the monochromatic look. Nice one

    Maureen, I love that the blur softened the look of the background and added importance to the father and son. Very well done. Maybe just a touch tight on the bottom.

    The light radiating from the father and son convey your message perfectly. Nice, brown tones.

    Denise, I agree. I struggled with this since it looks like they're floating when I add more space at the bottom. If I decide to rework the image, I'll add a textured area beneath the pair to anchor them.

    Hi Maureen, love the zoom blur on this image. Reminds me of the last several days I spent up at the family cottage. I convinced my 5 year old daughter to walk with me down a 2-3 kilometre trail to a small lake in the woods, but I had to carry her like this all the way home.
