This youngster is making good use of his rasp to soften the skin prior to getting stuck in to this freshly killed Gnu.

I quite like the eye of the lower cub and decided not to remove the OOF female in BG.

I quite like this image Ken & I agree with your decision to leave the eye of the lower cub in—it adds to the story. For me, the OOF female is not a distraction. TFS.

Ken - this works well as is. No problems with either oof adult or the other cub's eye.

    Andrew and Rachek,

Thanks very much for your kind comments, isolation of the main subject in these circumstances is nigh on impossible,

Interesting image Ken. The lioness seems to have an almost serene expression on her face. The blood leaves no doubt about what's going on without overpowering those who don't like "gore" in the images they view. Also like the single eye and no problems with the OOF lion.

nice behaviour here, and good framing - showing just enough without "goring people to death" as Steve mentioned
    don't mind the OOF female
don't mind the single eye of the other one - if it wasn't there I'd crop from the bottom
diagonal position of the lion makes for a strong element

Well done on the framing of this one, Ken, which could not have been easy. Like seeing that eye peering through down below.

So many great images Ken that can't comment on all of them you have shared. Just that I enjoy and learn from them all
