Nice processing on the flower. Beautiful color. I'm on the fence regarding the left side of the frame though. I'm wondering if you cropped just to the right of that straight edge, would it make the flower too centered? I would strive to keep it facing into the image. Just random thoughts. I love the star effects.

Mitch, my thoughts were exactly like Dave's before I read his post. It would be interesting to see a comparison. And ditto loving the stars

Mitch.....Like the idea you're working with here.....The left side is to abrupt for me...star effects are used well...you might consider taking out the star near the top center that is so close to the edge! Nice work!

Very surreal. That left edge also caught my attention. For me it gives the impression of a curtain and if that is what you intended maybe a fold or two would convey that more so. Great green/blue bkgd to contrast with that brilliant flower.

Mitch, I love the look here! I think that Dave's crop idea is a good one, not sure if you'll like what I've done but I might add a few more stars to it. I also did a quicky, you could take a little more time and do a nicer job if you wanted.

I think it's absolutely gorgeous! The glow and the stars really make it for me. I like Denise's crop better and I think the bud should be left in.

ditto the above re the left. I like a few more stars. I was on the fence re the bud at the top, but have decided that it adds to the balance. Taking it out makes the flower a bit more plain. Like the addition of just a few more stars. Very interesting!

    Denise,

Thank you for taking the time to post this version. I like it, but it is perhaps a little too centered for my "off center brain". How does this one work?
