Snowcap (Costa Rica)

What a unique and beautiful hummingbird the Snowcap is. Found only in Costa Rica and Panama there really are no other hummers like it. This guy was photographed in 2011 on my Costa Rica workshop.

Beautifully done - feather detail is excellent. I've never seen a hummingbird with that maroon color (and white head) - helpful for those of us dreaming of visiting there someday.
