Spent another afternoon with these lovely birds. When I finished the session after getting closer and closer for three hours - they were oblivious to my presence even at 8 meters away....

Ofer, really, fine work, apparantly great field work to get this close. The angle of the birds, background, and of course the action are just superb.

Excellent angles on the birds, POV, terrific detail. Great IQ for 800+TC. Not to mention colors, bg, action. Well done.

Wow, great capture. I wish both faces were in focus, but not much you can do in terms of dof at only 8 meters away. Great detail in the feathers and very clean colors.

Thanks Miguel, this was taken from about 21 meters and I had about 20 cm DOF which was enough to include both heads. Here is a repost with slightly more sharpening of the heads.

Just superb, Ofer. Good for you for making yourself so unobtrusive and getting such a wonderful close up frame of this intimate moment. Fantastic exposure, IQ, and the sharpness looks great to me. The angle of the birds couldn't be any better.

Ofer, I was expecting to see more of this species and this is absolutely amazing...Love the intimate action captured, Super low angle without any distraction and perfect HA with excellent eye contact on both the birds..your hard work really paid off..IQ is superb as always and I too found heads to be slightly soft but re post takes care of it.

I would love to see some more space in front and little less from behind.

Beautiful capture!! The exposure and colors are perfect. Your patience paid off big time. The females head and eye are a little soft on the OP but the re-post helped allot. Great Job.

Brilliant shot. Love the subject- hard to catch these intimate moments. The low POV really puts you there with the birds. Colours and sharpness look great, an all round impressive image.

Killer action captured here, Ofer. What tremendous light, low angle, details and colors. Agree it needed a tad more sharpening since both heads didn't appear quite on the same plain. You must be thrilled with this one.
