Another image of what for me has up until recently been a bird that has proved impossible to get reasonable images of, mainly because of their habit of perching very high in clusters of leaves.

This one was high up especially from a boat, and although there is a rather cluttered background I feel that it is OK.

Taken on Lake Mburo in the park of the same name in Uganda 24th June 2012

Reallyu nice - I feel like Im there! BG is very busy and angle is steep, degree of difficulty is high and this doesnt bother me.
I feel needs space taking off the lhs and top

Hi Ken, rollers always seem to perch in busy BG's, which is unfortunate, as each of the species all have brilliant colours to show off. Good inquisitive pose, and as mentioned, striking colours. The angle is a bit high, and moving either way wouldnt have helped with regards to a clearer view - pity.

A steep angle, hand held from a boat, makes this a difficult shot well done. IMHO a tighter crop would cut down on some of the cluttered bg.
