Katoomba Falls are in the World Heritage area of the Blue Mountains National Park, about 2 hours drive west of Sydney.

    Hi Gerard,
For me, this shot lacks a little punch. Maybe a slower shutter speed to accentuate the water a bit more would increase the drama. The rock on the left is quite powerful compositionally and by making the waterfall a little more prominent through the use of a slower shutter speed may have balanced this one out.

    Gerard,

I have to agree with Roman's assessment. The falls appear small compared to the large rock at the left. Compositionally, it is a good approach and might have been better with a slower shutter speed as suggested. Also, and if possible, you could move further away and use a longer telephoto as that will compress space.

I think the best option here is a crop like what I have posted. Here the 1/20 sec. shutter speed serves the composition well.
