Hey Steve, Way to go. I love this one. EXP, pose, COMP, and BKGR are all excellent. Did you erect the perch?

Very nice work Steve. This is great for ISO 1600! There is a bit of noticable background manipulation around the perch and tail feathers of your subject. I love the way the eye really pops out.
I like this. With all the grackles around here, I'd love to get one like this. Well done. No nits for me. I like the way the bg is mottled but it almost seems uniform in pattern. The soft/sharp bird is a real treat.
Thanks to all for the comments.
Artie, the perch is natural. This area of the lake has four dead trees at its edge that have been weathered and worn by the extremes of Colorado weather.
Blake, the problems with perch and tail feathers is the result of sloppy selection and NR on the BG.
