Hello everyone. While waiting to see if I could get a decent shot of a painted bunting this guy/gal came out from behind a bush that was near me. Almost FF.

Nice RR portrait. Got lucky having him pop out so close. Normally pretty hard to get close to. The open beak and colorful skin patch make for a very cool shot. IQ and exposure look good too. Great Job...

Nice detail in the head and neck - open beak is nice. Interesting looking eye on this species. There is a yellow patch in the bottom left hand corner - is this part of the birds colouration? TFS.

Hi Robert, super comp with the RR leaning into the frame. Good sharp detail all round, and I like the splash of colour on the head. The lighter blue BG works well.

Details are amazing in this one. You can see every feather around the face and the exposure and sharpness are very good. The clean BG really makes this one pop for a splendid portrait.

    Wow Robert!
A beautiful portrait. IQ is superb and it shows in the feather details.
I would crop to get rid of yellow discoloration in LLC.
    Well done,
    Gail
