Just another White-faced Duck flying speedily across my local pond in Pretoria. Good BIF practice.

The practice is definitely paying off Stuart. Might move the duck just a tad lower in the frame.

Wonderful shot Stuart. I wish I could capture flying birds like this. Love the wing position and great detail.
    Well done.

Nice pose, light and colours. The bird is flying a bit away from you and I don't see any detail on the white face. It would be lovely to see some more variety from you with the new camera...

Man that pond produces some nice flight shots for you. Wings down pose is great and I like the colors of this species. Face is just a tad hot on my monitor. Great shot!!

Thanks Ofer. Unfortunately, I have a full time job, so havent been able to travel SA to capture anything different with my new toy. I have plenty other images to share with my 50D, but thought I would show some results with the Mark IV.

Thanks everyone else for your feedback and comments. Always appreciated.

    Stuart:

Love the subtle BG here, full down pose, sheen on the wings.

The white patch does look a little hot.

    I understand about travel limitations!

    Cheers

Oh ... just "another duck"? You meant "another superb image"! Great detail and very nice background. Maybe crop a bit off the bottom .. but just a bit

    Hi Stuart,
The whites are really hot and I find it takes away from the image.
Great wing position though and good clean BG and tack sharp. Keep on practicing!!
