    Default Buzzing the Flowers

I used Topaz Simplify and a low dose of Clean, and Nik Tonal Contrast and added a color fill layer at 50% opacity just over the background by selecting the flowers and promoting to a layer. Then I added 2 Flypaper textures from Russell Brown's free Texture Panel for CS5 and 6 which includes free Flypaper texture sampler.

Nicely framed, I like the textures and the filtering. Thanks for sharing the texture info with us!

Judy, I like the composition and the hints of pink in the background. I might remove the one J-shaped stamen? that is hanging down underneath one of the blossoms about half way up on the viewer's right. Thanks for the texture info

Thanks Cheryl! Good suggestion about removing the stamen. Maybe I'll get to it tomorrow.

Beautiful pinks, which stand out nicely against the dark bg. The bee and the buds add interest to the nice spray of open flowers. Something about this image doesn't quite work for me. I think it may be the simplified subject against a complex bg.

Thanks Cheryl and Anita. I see your point Anita. It might have worked better without the textures over the background.
