Many times it is impossible to get animals in the clear, and this is a fine example of such a sighting. Personally I like this kind of non "studio" shot as to my mind it reflects real Africa.
There are three cubs although only one is reasonably visible, they are enjoying a nice meal of Impala recently killed by their mum. Could have done with more room at the top but I have none

Hi Ken - Agree with your self-assessment and would prefer a bit more on top and maybe bottom too. I do like the tones of this and the oof cubs add to the image.
Great details and exposure on the one licking his chops. I am really yearning for more room on top but have been in your shoes. Guess we have to remember Morkel's advice to consider taking 2 frames and stitching them later. It helps to write this out to help me remember for when I am in the field and too close. You have a nice story being told here!
Thanks very much for your kind comments. Moments earlier the cub was lower down, this is where the 200-400 would have come in handy. Hopefully I will get one in September.
