This bird was one of the stars of my recent trip to Costa Rica, there were 8 birders and one photographer (me) trying to see the bird on a trail made for two, I donīt know how I was able to take this picture, between legs arms, it was too close to focus, I hadto step aside among branches, etc..
Very nice image from a seemingly difficult, dark habitat, - quite sharp although the critical point of focus seems to be on the vertical branch and moss. The underparts are not over-flashed- well done. I do think the eye needs a little work to remove 'steel-eye'
I would be interested to know of your camera, lens and settings.
